Duties and responsibilities

Working in close collaboration with the project manager as a business analyst, you will perform analyses and approvals, and you will be involved in the development and implementation of business solutions for customers. Depending on project scope, you may be assigned to multiple projects simultaneously.

The business analyst contributes functional expertise and knowledge of processes and business areas, both internally and for the customer. He or she is involved in interpreting and documenting the customer’s business needs and in sharing with the customer his or her knowledge of the business area associated with the enterprise software. To do this, the business analyst participates in identifying needs and works closely with the customer team and the application development and analysis team to solve immediate problems and to create a higher quality product (new developments). He or she also works with the development team to improve response times and to achieve optimal solutions.

  • Work with the customer to identify their business needs;
  • document the customer’s business needs;
  • define a functional solution to satisfy the customer’s business needs;
  • work with the solution architect to develop a software and technology solution in response to the customer’s business needs;
  • review the developed solution and assist the customer during acceptance and deployment;
  • support the project manager in identifying the financial, technical, and human resources required in order to complete projects;
  • support the development team with technical issues and with the solutions to be implemented;
  • contribute to improving analysis methodologies and processes.

Based on experience, the business analyst may also have the following responsibilities:

  • analyse, plan, develop, and implement the chosen business solution;
  • comply with established budgets and timelines;
  • identify risks and discrepancies and implement solutions to meet our commitments to customers;
  • support the project manager in identifying the financial, technical, and human resources required in order to complete projects;
  • ensure that solutions are operationally and technologically integrated into business processes;
  • support the project team with technical issues and with the solutions to be implemented;
  • provide ongoing communication and ensure that members of the project team fully understand their role;
  • review deliverables and perform quality assurance;
  • produce and update management documents, including reports, action items, meeting minutes, monthly reports, etc.

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • Baccalaureate in computer science and/or management or equivalent, master's degree;
  • a plus minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in computer technology;
  • experience with project management methodology and tools;
  • practical work experience with CRM and/or BI solutions;
  • concern for user satisfaction;
  • result-oriented with strong analytical skills and a proven approach to problem solving;
  • professional integrity and ethics;
  • excellent communication skills;
  • ability to integration and adapt quickly;
  • oral and written fluency in French and English.
