Duties and responsibilities
Working as part a customer team and in close collaboration with the project manager, the Microsoft architect/programmer designs, develops, and supports various BI application development projects. With a technical consulting role within various teams, you will work independently and be responsible for making recommendations on Microsoft application development. Job duties include the following:

Design and develop the data warehouse and data mart;
- design and develop Microsoft-compatible solutions for reporting and analysis from the data warehouse, data mart, or any other data source;
- develop organic and functional deliverables;
- ensure that BI best practices are used;
- develop reports, dashboards, and analyses;
- develop multidimensional cubes or dimensional models;
- create and perform scenarios for unit testing, functional testing, and integration testing;
- optimise the performance of queries needed for the deliverables;
- ensure that technical documentation is produced for products;
- work in close collaboration with the customer team in order to strengthen the business partnership.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- University degree in computer science or equivalent;
- proven design and development expertise within large-scale projects;
- strong knowledge of Microsoft BI;
- minimum 2 years experience in data modelling and data warehousing;
- minimum 5 years experience with SQL Server;
- minimum 5 years experience with the following Microsoft tools: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS;
- development experience with MDX a plus;
- consulting experience a plus;
- mobility throughout the Montreal metropolitan area;
- oral and written fluency in French and English.
